Why actual charging takes longer
A simple capacity-divided-by-current calculation provides a useful first estimate, but batteries rarely charge at a constant current all the way to full. Chargers often reduce current as the battery approaches its upper voltage limit. Battery chemistry, temperature, state of charge, battery age and charger behavior can therefore make real charging time longer than the ideal value.
